Q: What can I create with the ARK Dev Kit?Ī: While the ARK Dev Kit does not provide access to the ARK C++ game source code, it does contain all of our editable source art for the game, as well as our editable maps and blueprint classes.

Hope this helps anyone having this problem in the future.A: The ARK Dev Kit is a simplified version of the Unreal Engine 4 Editor specifically compiled to streamline the process of creating Mods & Maps for the Unreal Engine 4 game ARK: Survival Evolved, and to upload them directly to Steam Workshop for other users to download and play. We tried a few things like deleteing the entire Hearts of Iron IV folder found in Documents\Paradox Interactive before verifying the game and launching again to create the folder again etcĪfter verifying that none of the above worked, I opted into the beta for the new steam client which is a known cause for the problem (I had never opted in before thus ruled it out as the cause) and straight after opting in, I opted out of the steam client beta and re-started steam and this seemed to solve my problem completely where before the game would not create the mod folder, now it does. Ok so I managed to solve this problem after sitting in steam chat troubleshooting with lukas below. I cannot find any other solutions posted anywhere, and its really frustrating as iv finished the game loads elsewhere, iv literally only bought the game so i can try it with mods on my own pc :(. Opted out of all betas for the steam client Copied and pasted the previously mentioned folders and renamed workshop to mod Also tried this whilst deleting all other workshop content apart from what is found in the 394930 folder where HoI4 Mods are found in steamapps. Copied and pasted the steam workshop folder into the hearts of iron folder found in my documents After consulting google and search i have tried to do the following to fix it. Unfortunately I cant see an options to activate subscribed mods in the games launcher. Recently Bought this game after rinsing it at a friends offline so I could play mods.
